| 3. | Treasurer’s report | £643 in account and £20 cash. £440 of this is allocated to local charities from the closing funds of SCFG which is to be transferred to them this week. Goodwill offering to SCC for water usage will be discussed at next meeting. Discussed having a second water butt running off the overflow from the first. Also, having a waterbutt filling off the roof of the greenhouse. | |
| 4. | Sherwood Open Gardens Sat 13th June | Carol Mc had a worthwhile meeting with Joan who was instrumental in acquiring the ground for the garden 16 years ago. Joan passed over a file containing the history of the garden and a table top display board. Risk assessment has been done and we are waiting for this to be forwarded to us. | Carol and Cat are working on a display for SOG to show the past, present and future plans of the garden. Alex and Cat can provide 2 folding tables and there is also one behind the shed. Alex can also provide a gazebo. Alex to provide a float for the entrance fee and the plant stall. Carol N to design and get copied Can you find…? pages for the children. Alex is making a sign for the gate. Carol McC to provide a page of information to guide/support members showing visitors around. Set up at 10:30am that morning – volunteers needed for this, please – should only take about 30 minutes. |
| 5. | Visit of Jules: SCC events coordinator | We welcomed Jules, events coordinator at SCC to discuss how we can support each other. Jules checked if we have insurance to cover the greenhouses. Assurance was given that we have public liability insurance. She inquired about the aims and objectives of SCG which we shared with her Talked about which organisations have plots in SCG: Space Inclusive and Cal managing the community plots. Shared that she has funding to do a garden project, purchase tools – we may work together on future events. | Jules to find out if the CCTV camera by the gate is working. We plan to meet with Jules and/or Hannah of SCC again to continue to build relationship, improve communication and explore ways of supporting each other with community engagement. |
| 6. | Sherwood Community Forum Sun 26th April, 2-4pm | SCC have requested we attend this and have something visual on the table: fliers, seeds, plants… | Alex and Carol N attending this. Carol McC and Cal are also attending but representing other community groups. Alex to do a sign for this. Carol N to take seedlings, etc. Carol McC to take file of the history of the garden. |
