| 2. | Correspondence | Louise from SCC sent a lovely message to share that the children from the playgroup had enjoyed a visit to the garden on the day before SOG. Louise contacted Alex to say someone had knocked on SCC window to say a bird was stuck in the fruit netting. When checked, it had already freed itself but there was a bird under other netting. | Alex to share this on our Facebook page and share the link with our WhatsApp group. Carol N to ask members to ensure any netting on their plots is secured all the way round to prevent birds getting in. |
| 3. | Treasurer’s report | £427.03 in the account. £205 of this was from plant sales at SOG. £35 still to be donated to The Place pending confirmation of bank details. We now have a PayPal account so that payments can be made directly into SCG account. Alex has spoken to the bank re how to update the name of our bank account to SCG and is in the process of filling in the relevant forms. This will include updating payment methods and signatories. | Alex will follow up on all of these points. |
| 4. | Sherwood Open Gardens reflection | £7,500 was raised to be donated to the local hospice and Juno Women’s Aid of which SCG contributed £235 from ticket sales. Just over 1,000 people attended SOG. Feedback forms: 5 responses have been received to date. | Alex will share a summary of the feedback after it has been collated. If you haven’t yet submitted your feedback, please do so asap. |
| 5. | Water storage | A 1,000 liter storage tank has been delivered. Louise is concerned that in its current location people could use it to climb onto the roof. She has suggested an alternative location for it. | Alex to follow this up with Louise to discuss options. |
| 6. | Wood chippings | Discussed putting cardboard between the plots to suppress grass and weeds, and then put down wood chippings. | Carol McC to check if her contact can provide wood chippings. |
| 7. | Second greenhouse | This is on hold until SCC can give us approval. Meanwhile, the current greenhouse can be used for growing. | Alex to put a message on the WhatsApp group to request help with this tomorrow evening. |
| 8. | Nottingham Growing Network | This was agreed as a good idea but a volunteer is needed to coordinate this. | Volunteer? |

| 10. | Work parties and tasks | We didn’t have our scheduled work party this month due to having an extra one before SOG. Work parties will continue on the 3rd Sunday of each month, 10.30am to 1pm. | Members to note the dates of work parties and attend when possible. |

| 1. | Volunteers | Several people expressed interest in volunteering during SOG. We discussed the process we would need in order to facilitate this, including an ‘introductory pack’. | |
